Mindful Staffing Solutions is seeking providers for The Federal Bureau of Prisons (Bureau) to provide Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) to Adults in Custody (AICs) in community placement nationwide while residing in Residential Reentry Centers.

Sending patients to your private practice. You will invoice Mindful Staffing Solutions monthly for the amount of services provided.

***Your Practice/clinic must be located within 10 miles of Jacksonville City Hall (117 W Duval Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202).

Role: MAT providers with prescriptive authority. These providers must meet state standards and hold the necessary certifications, including DEA registration and a DATA 2000 waiver identification number.

• TeleMAT- Psychiatric Evaluation and Report
• MAT Follow-Up and Report
• MAT - Administration of Medication.

Background about the program:

The Bureau offers MAT to adults in custody with an opioid use disorder while incarcerated and during their community placement. MAT is available on a voluntary basis and treatment may be declined at any time. Adults in custody receive a medication regimen and can participate in evidence- based counseling.

Those entering Bureau custody are screened and evaluated by psychology and health services department for an opioid use disorder, with continuation of MAT when clinically appropriate. To address the increased risk of recidivism and relapse for adults in custody with a history of an OUD, MAT is initiated, if needed, in preparation for RRC placement or home confinement. Providing MAT during the high-risk re-entry period is particularly important as it enhances the ability to resist opioid-seeking behaviors while in the community.

Adults in custody who are active in MAT while incarcerated are referred by CTS to continue while in the community. Additionally, any adult in custody who is evaluated by a qualified practitioner in the community and recommended for MAT will be authorized by CTS for all necessary treatment.
